Notice of Public Hearing: Local Law NO. B of 2026 Steep Slope Protections on September 16, 2026, at 6:30PM
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TOWN OF MARCELLUS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Municipal Home Rule Law there has been presented to the Town Board of the Town of Marcellus, New York, at a regular meeting thereof held on August 19, 2026, proposed Local Law No. B-2026, titled, “A Local Law to Amend the Town of Marcellus Zoning Law to Add a New Article Regarding Steep Slope Protections.” Said Local Law was introduced and will be considered pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Home Rule Law. Said Local Law, if enacted, would conserve the sensitive environment of steep slope areas, and to regulate land use within these areas in a manner which protects the public interest by minimizing detrimental effects of land disturbance and development on steep slopes. The full text of said Local Law is on file at the Town Clerk’s Office at the Town Hall located at 22 East Main Street, Marcellus, New York for inspection by all interested persons.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on August 19, 2026 the Town Board determined that this proposed Local Law was an Unlisted Action in connection with SEQRA and determined that the Town Board will act as lead agency, and further determined that a negative declaration was adopted in this matter.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Town Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed Local Law at the said Town Offices on September 16, 2026 at 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, at which time all persons interested will be heard.
