NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Municipal Home Rule Law there has been presented to the Town Board of the Town of Marcellus, New York, at a regular meeting thereof held on September 16, 2026, proposed Local Law No. E-2026, titled, “A Local Law Imposing a Twelve (12) Month Moratorium on Commercial Cryptocurrency Mining Operations, Data Mining, Data Processing Centers and Data Storage Facilities Within the Town of Marcellus.” The full text of said Local Law is on file at the Town Clerk’s Office at the Town Offices located at 22 East Main Street in the Town of Marcellus for inspection by all interested persons during regular business hours.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on September 16, 2026, the Town Board determined that this proposed Local Law is a Type II in connection with SEQRA, thus concluding the environmental review process.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Town Board will hold a public hearing to consider proposed Local Law No. E-2026 at the said Town Hall on October 21, 2026 at 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, at which time all persons interested will be heard.
